These terms apply to your use of cyberspacedesign.co.uk and any freelance services provided by Cyberspace Design (“I”, “me”).

Cyberspace Design is operated by Rachel, a freelance web and graphic designer based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Use of this website

This website is provided for informational purposes and to showcase my work. The content is my own unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content from this site — including images, text, and design work — without my written permission.

My services

I offer freelance web design, web development, and graphic design services. All projects are agreed on a per-project basis via email or written proposal.

Quotes and proposals Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise. A quote is not a contract — work only begins once both parties have agreed in writing (email is fine) to the scope, timeline, and cost.

Payment Payment terms are agreed per project. Unless otherwise stated, I require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining balance due on completion before final files are delivered. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue.

Late payment Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, I reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% plus the Bank of England base rate, plus a fixed late payment fee.

Revisions Each project includes a reasonable number of revisions as agreed in the proposal. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may be charged at my standard day rate.

Timelines I’ll always give you a realistic timeline and keep you updated. Delays caused by late feedback or content from you may push the delivery date back accordingly.

Intellectual property

My work I retain ownership of all original design work until full payment is received. Upon full payment, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you for the agreed purpose.

Portfolio use I reserve the right to feature completed work in my portfolio, on social media, and in case studies unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Third-party assets If a project uses stock images, fonts, or plugins that require licensing, it’s your responsibility to maintain those licences. I’ll always flag when third-party assets are being used.

Liability

I take care to deliver quality work, but I can’t be held liable for:

My total liability for any project is limited to the amount you’ve paid me for that project.

Cancellation

Either party can cancel a project with written notice. If you cancel:

If I cancel, I’ll refund any payment for work not yet completed.

Confidentiality

I’ll treat any sensitive information you share with me as confidential and won’t disclose it to third parties without your permission, unless required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
