What’s included?
In order to create the best online presence for my clients I only use the best and latest software, this gives everyone peace of mind and it’s why I have a mandatory monthly cost with all of my projects. I pay more for multiple licences so you can pay less monthly and overall. However you can go directly to the companies for your own personal licence if you would prefer to.
The support and maintenance extra found in the silver, gold and platinum plan is recommended as your website will be developed using WordPress.
WordPress is an open-source content management system capable of powering a range of different websites from blogs to fully fledged ecommerce stores. It currently powers over 35% of websites on the internet, which is around 64 million websites.
As it has been around since 2003 and it is an open source platform, hackers know their way around the system, which is why security and maintenance is crucial. There are many different ways to secure your website and keep unwanted visitors and threats away, the most basic ones include choosing secure passwords and performing regular updates.
On the silver, gold and platinum plans Cyberspace Design will ensure all measures are put in place to keep your website secure and running smoothly. By keeping the website up to date, monitoring the website and performing the necessary actions in the event that something does happen.
* Please note that this will require unrestricted access to your website with admin privileges in order to access everything that needs to be kept up to date.
You. If you decide to take on the maintenance of the website yourself then you can remove my access from the website completely if you wish.
However if you decide to go with a silver or gold package that includes support and maintenance, this will require you to give me access to the website to perform any updates/fixes.
As mentioned previously, all projects are different and many different factors can determine the when your website can go live. The main factors are of course the scale of your project and the number of design revisions needed to get the website exactly how you want it. However most websites can be complete and live in around 2-3 months.
Yes! Since you own and manage the content on the website you are free to edit text and images whenever you want. I often lock the design in place and this means you can’t move main elements and sections around but you can still swap out images and text if you want to, (however I can disable this and let you have free reins to the entire website if you would prefer.)

Simple websites are often used to provide a business with a basic online presence to supply clients or customers with information.
These websites often require little to no maintenance and the content and information found on the website will stay the same unless the client or developer manually changes it.

Just like ecommerce websites many businesses that require a booking/appointment system have many different marketplace options. For example hotels/B&Bs have options like booking.com and Airbnb. A disadvantage of using these marketplaces is that it can result in a reduction of your overall profit due to the commissions they take on each booking.
Your brand can be represented much better with your own website as opposed to the generic and limited customisation you get with most marketplaces.

An e-commerce website allows you to sell goods and services online.
Currently, there are two main ways to sell online, marketplace websites (Etsy, Ebay, Amazon etc) and your own ecommerce website.
While selling on a marketplace may seem like the easy option, there are many disadvantages to selling your products/services solely in a marketplace environment. For example you may have to compete with multiple businesses selling the same type of product as you. It can also be more difficult to build a solid customer base as many customers are more likely to remember the marketplace name instead of your business name.
With your own ecommerce website you have much more control over everything. Your brand can be represented much better with your own website as opposed to the generic and limited customisation you get with most marketplaces. Your products will be easier to find and market online.
