Task:
DDWH Architects is an established architectural practice with a portfolio spanning residential and commercial projects across the UK. Despite the quality of their work, their existing website offered little more than a full-screen landing image and a basic gallery structure, making it difficult for visitors to explore projects or gain a sense of the practice behind them.
Working as part of the team at an agency, I was responsible for the design of a complete website refresh that transformed the way the practice’s work was presented online.
The aim was to move beyond a simple image gallery and create a more structured experience that would allow individual projects to tell their own story while remaining easy to browse.
The new website introduced a custom project architecture, with each property benefiting from its own dedicated page featuring descriptive content and curated image galleries. A filterable project archive made it easier for visitors to navigate the portfolio and discover relevant work, while the overall design provided a cleaner, more contemporary experience that better reflected the quality and professionalism of the practice.
Although deliberately understated, the redesign represented a significant step forward from the previous site, giving DDWH Architects a much stronger online presence and a platform worthy of showcasing their portfolio.
